I've been a crafter at home for years as a hobby, and always dreamed of expanding out professionally and having my own shop. I always figured it was a pipe dream, and would scare myself out of action with thoughts of failure. Then one day, as I was driving to work preparing myself for a day of boring non-crafty responsibilities that required me to wear business clothes instead of pajamas, I received sage advice from a rapper; a life lived for art is never a life wasted, and the moment is now, can't get it back from the grave. I decided to take the first step and create the shop. I then let it sit for a while. Baby steps people, baby steps.
Fast forward to present day, and I'm taking the plunge to go all in. According to FDR, happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort, so I set the shop up with those goals in mind. Plus the realization that my craft supply hoarding was getting out of control was a great motivator, after my child told a group of teachers that our house looks like Michael's threw up in it.
All items in my shop are lovingly handmade with an attention to detail and with great care. I love the creative process and gift giving, so your satisfaction with your purchase is one of my greatest priorities.
